It’s the weekend, so I get to do my writing in the comfort of my home in my favorite flannel PJ bottoms, big sweatshirt, slippers – My uniform from the days when this was my office all the time. I look forward to this all week!
Most of the time I’m writing about food in some way or another (unless it’s about wine & spirits!). Eventually, this makes me hungry (surprise!). I’m sure a lot of writers have their go-to foods for when they need a snack but don’t want to break their rhythm. Mine has been the same for as long as I can remember… humus and crackers, olives and grapes.
I wrote my way through graduate school, as well as through most of this blog, Chile Aphrodisia, and my Eat & Tell column on this combination. There are other foods that make their way into the mix depending on season and my mood – arugula with goat cheese and lemon with Sea Star Sea Salt, peanut butter & honey on wheat toast, dark chocolate M&Ms, and yogurt covered pretzels.
Today I’m sticking with my “usual”. What do you eat when you write?
