The Kitchen Arts & Letters Cookbook Club with Annette Tomei is like no other. It is a curated community of like minded people. Food lovers. Book lovers. Cooks of all levels. Culture explorers. Arm-chair travelers (and real travelers!). Sound like you?
There’s still time to join for September 2025!
Martha Holmberg’s Simply Tomato and/or Pesto by Leslie Lennox… zoom dates are Tuesdays, September 16 and 30, 2025 from 7-8:30 pm Eastern.

Make the most of end-of summer bounty with your choice of two practical, inspiring books. Or treat yourself to both! Chef Annette Tomei will guide you through your choice two enticing books, each one perfect for September’s garden bounty. Or you can choose both and receive cooking tips, shopping help, advance prep techniques for each.
We meet on Zoom twice each month. Our first monthly meeting is all about reading the book… the storytelling, the history and culture, the design, and more. Our second meeting is when we really dig into what it was like to cook from our book… we talk recipes, flavors, ingredients, and compare kitchen notes. We usually have a third special session each month when the author joins us for a members-only 30-minute Q&A session – we’ve hosted dozens of authors so far including Claudia Roden, Pierre Thiam, Fuchsia Dunlop, David Tanis, Naomi Duguid, and more.

Monthly, Seasonal, and Annual memberships are available. Check out what’s coming up next…
Kitchen Arts & Letters Cookbook Club: Autumn 2025 is live!

Breads, Beans, and Braises
We do love a bit of alliteration every now and then. Even more so when it names three of our favorite fall food groups, and the theme for our next season of Cookbook Club!
Beginning in October, beloved cookbook club host, Chef Annette Tomei will guide you and other devoted cookbook lovers, home cooks, and –now– bakers through a curated collection of cookbooks that epitomize cozy autumn cooking.
Our season begins with our first foray into bread baking. Even better, we’re not leaving anyone out of the discussion! In addition to exploring the inimitable The Bread Baker’s Apprentice, you may also choose new September release, The Art of Gluten-Free Bread, or choose both! The club “assignments” and discussion will feature both books.
Once you have bread, you’ll want something delicious to go with it… November’s The Bean Book and December’s All About Braises will provide plenty of inspiration and indulgence.
We hope you’ll join Annette for this deliciously engaging celebration of autumn’s abundance of cozy comfort through three (or four!) delightful books, lively discussion, and a few added surprises along the way!
